Seamlines from The President

Hello All,

It’s time. The portion of the year when things start to wind down. The garden has been put to bed, quilts have been aired out and placed on the bed in anticipation of cooler weather, fall housecleaning is underway to wipe away the dust of summer and bring a shine to the home in anticipation of the holiday season ahead. It is time to dust off the sewing machine and start my holiday sewing. We have added a new granddaughter to the mix, so a little more for me to do this year.

The Chapter activities are going strong. I have heard Neighborhood Groups planning for their last meetings of the year along with programming for the Chapter. During the latest Leadership Exchange with National, I picked up a few more ideas for challenges and field trips that will spark the imagination and creativity that is in all of us. I hope to share those ideas over the next few weeks.

At the annual meeting a new president was elected, JoAnn LaForge. I look forward to working with her over the next couple of months as we make our transition to new leadership beginning January 1, 2026.

It has been my privilege to serve as your president these last couple of years. I have enjoyed meeting you. I have learned something from each of you. My sewing journey has been enriched by the experience.

I wish you all a very happy holiday season. Please take time to relax and stay energized and renewed.

Enjoy the company of family and friends, most especially your sewing buddies!

Regards,

Eileen Scott, President
