Love to Travel... Love to Sew
Combine your love for sewing and traveling to make traveling easier and unique to you. Learn to lighten your load when you’re traveling, shopping or your hands are occupied with your children or grandchildren and you can’t carry a bulky purse. Learn more about pockets and “thingies.”
Cheryl Glassel, a member of the ASG Chapter Advisory Board, will present her ideas about creating travel clothes, purses and totes. She will show you how she has modified her favorite patterns by adding pockets to hold items securely. Her vest and jackets have pockets that reduce or eliminate the need for a bulky purse. She will explain the construction, types of fabrics used and the different types of pockets that can be used. When you need to carry more items, a purse, tote or backpack may be needed. Cheryl will show you some of the modifications she has made to patterns to meet individual needs. You will see the modifications she has made and her favorite patterns, fabric, notions, hardware and samples. And learn about “thingies.” Can’t travel without them.
Join Cheryl for an informative afternoon as she shares her passion for travel and updates you on her travel sewing and latest travel adventures. And perhaps even l earn a travel tip or two.
