ASG Summer Potluck Picnic and Fabric Swap

As we celebrate our 45th year in the Twin Cities, we are continuing in a party mode with a Picnic in the Park!  The park has large a large play area for kids of all ages, a beach volleyball space, lots of walking trails and we are told there might even be a secret fishing spot somewhere around the lake.  We are in a covered pavilion with some electrical outlets for appliances and shelter from sprinkles.  Oh! Yes, we will have cake!

 

Date: Sunday, June 29, 2025

Time:  11:00 am until park close at 9:00 pm  Lunch at 12:00, Make It/Take It demo at 1:00.  Fabric swap all afternoon.

Location:  Ramsey County’s Island Lake Park Pavillion #2,  3611 Victoria St N, Shoreview, MN 55126.  HWY 694 and Victoria Street.

Invited guests:  ASG members, family and friends

What to Bring:  FABRIC FOR A SWAP; a potluck dish to pass;  something for you and your guests to grill, if desired; beverage of choice if other than water; a garment, bag or other item you would like to dye (sample/practice fabric will be provided)

Provided by ASG CAB: 

  • Bottled water

  • Paper products

  • Charcoal and grilling utensils

  • Supplies to learn and share the Make it/Take It subject, Dying with Sharpie Markers

  • Freezies for kids of all ages!

Cost:  $4.00 for ASG members, $5.00 for nonmember adult (age 13 and older) guest, family and friends. $2.00 for children 6-12 and children aged 5 and under are free.
