Machine quilting is easy—and fun—when you know a few simple techniques. Whether you're new to free-motion quilting or looking to refine your skills, Lori Kennedy will share practical tips and proven techniques to help you transform unfinished quilt tops into treasured heirlooms.
During this 6-hour hands-on workshop, you'll create a free-motion quilting sampler while learning the fundamentals of successful machine quilting. You'll begin by learning how to set up your sewing machine to create a beautiful, balanced stitch—the foundation of confident free-motion quilting. Lori will share her favorite tips for machine setup, tension, speed, thread, needles, and batting so you can achieve beautiful results with confidence.
Cost for this is is $100 for Members and $125 for Non-members, this includes the class, kit and lunch.

Workshop Supply List
The class kit included with the workshop will include the fabric, batting and threads you need.
One of the advantages of taking a live quilting class is the ability to try notions, supplies and threads before buying. I will have a variety of thread, batting and supplies for you to try and a limited supply of books and thread for purchase. If YOU have anything that you are willing to share, like a favorite thread or marking tool, please bring it! We can all learn from each other. If you don’t have a supply on this list (other than the machine supplies), don’t worry, we will probably be able to share.
